02.11.06 - KINO MEMBERS IN IT BITES REFORMATION
No doubt you will have read in the music press that It Bites has reformed with three of its original members (including Bob Dalton and John Beck of KINO), with the role of vocalist/guitarist being taken on by KINO's John Mitchell. This doesn't signify the end of KINO, but with Pete Trewavas currently busy with the recording of Marillion's 14th studio album and his associated touring schedule, and this new commitment for John M, John B and Bob, plans for a second album from KINO will be put on hold for now and reviewed in 2007.
It Bites will be touring the UK in December, and also playing a showcase gig in Holland at the end of November:
Sun 26 Nov - De Boerderij, Zoetermeer
Fri 1 Dec - Carnegie Theatre, Workington
Sat 2 Dec - Classic Rock Society, Rotherham (formerly scheduled as a KINO gig)
Tue 5 Dec - King Tut's Wah Wah Club, Glasgow
Wed 6 Dec - Carling Academy 2, Birmingham
Thu 7 Dec - Islington Carling Academy, London
Fri 8 Dec - Academy 2, Manchester
Buy tickets online from www.gigsandtours.com, and visit the It Bites website at www.itbites.com for more information (full website being launched soon).

- LONDON SHOW WRITEUP
The
gig at the Mean Fiddler on Friday was ace! The set list featured most
of the album 'Picture', plus a few surprises in the shape of 'Plastic
Dreamer' from It Bites and '12' by The Urbane, with the encore featuring
'Afraid Of Sunlight' by Marillion, and 'Kiss Like Judas' from It Bites.
John Mitchell was suffering from a dose of flu but soldiered on admirably,
and the whole band were happy with the performance, with only a few technical
hitches which John and Pete glossed over with a bit of on-stage banter.
A massive thank you to everyone that came along and joined in with singing
"...dead nobodies in company cars..." during Losers' Day Parade,
and generally making the whole gig such a great night. Huge thanks also
to la belle Lucy for organising the gig, and to Suns Of The Tundra for
providing a kick-arse support set - their
CD was a hot seller at the merch stand afterwards!
The band are now all geared up for their trip over to Philadelphia for
RoSFest this coming weekend. John Mitchell is already playing there on
the Friday (29 April) with Arena, and Pete, John Beck and Bob Dalton will
join him the next day for their set on Saturday afternoon.

The gigs in Europe are going great so far, first off in Holland with just
John Mitchell and John Beck, where they played a selection of KINO songs,

To Remember), and an Urbane track. Pete T joined them the next day in
Germany following his appearance at the Marillion convention in Minehead,
and the setlist reverted to solely KINO tracks - Leave A Light On, People,
Letting Go, Perfect Tense, Swimming In Women, Picture, and Losers' Day
Parade.
Below are a few snapshots from the rehearsals in the UK last week. Live
photos to be added soon! If anyone has any they would like to share on
